Types of Work Passes in Singapore
- Employment Pass (EP): For foreign professionals, managers, and executives. Candidates need to have a job offer in Singapore, work in a managerial, executive or specialized job, and earn a minimum salary of SGD 4,500 (higher for more experienced candidates).
- S Pass: For mid-skilled technical staff. Applicants must earn at least SGD 2,500 per month and meet the assessment criteria that consider multiple factors such as salary, experience, skills, and job type.
- Work Permit: For semi-skilled workers in certain sectors like construction, manufacturing, marine shipyard, process or services sector.
- EntrePass: For foreign entrepreneurs wanting to start and operate a business in Singapore that is venture-backed or possesses innovative technologies.
- Personalised Employment Pass (PEP): For high-earning existing Employment Pass holders or overseas foreign professionals. The PEP offers greater flexibility than an EP because it is not tied to one specific employer.
- Dependant’s Pass (DP): Issued to spouses and children of Employment Pass or S Pass holders, allowing them to live in Singapore.
